Meet Mrs. Toni

Hi! My name is Mrs. Toni and I will be your third grade teacher. I am extremely excited to be teaching you and working to make this year a productive one for you. Here is a little bit of information about me.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Southern University in 2003. I taught second grade for two years in Baton Rouge before moving back to Opelousas to be closer to my mother. I taught at Grand Prairie Elementary from 2005 to this year. This school year will be my first at Grolee and I welcome the change. I obtained a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a focus in reading in 2008.

I have been married for two years and my husband and I do not have any children. I enjoy cooking, tennis, music and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading. Reading will be a major focus in my class because it is necessary in all that we do. We will learn to be better readers and writers. I'm happy that you are in my class!
